Summary:Various sectors such as automobile, aerospace and several other industries have been widely using aluminium alloy due to its robust nature, lesser density, good strength to weight ratio, superior resistance towards corrosion and wear and also it has a better recycling properties. Reinforcement like boron carbide (B4C), silicon carbide (SiC), Titanium Carbide (TiC),Titanium diboride (TiB2) and graphite with aluminium alloy improves more strength, provides drastic improvement in the hardness, wear rate. In this article we have analyzed the discussion made on the previous research journals which have been undergone with aluminium metal matrix composite. Considering various manufacturing techniques and result gathered based on the performance of various testing methodologies, we have analyzed the performance of various compositions.
