Description
Summary:The solubility of substances in supercritical fluids is an important parameter for the development and implementation of nanotechnology. But the experimental measurement of solubility at each and every desired condition is cumbersome, hence these is great need to develop a good model that correlates/predicts the solubility. In order to fulfill this, they are numerous works in literature but, they are applicable to specific solute-solvent system. But none of them are suitable for all the solute-solvent systems. In this work, we have employed statistical analysis on various models to evaluate the correlating ability of the standard compounds in supercritical carbon dioxide. For statistical analysis parameters such as arithmetic average deviation and Akaike’s information criterion (AIC) are used. In the present work, we have validated various models with naphthalene solubility data. Finally, goodness of the model is evaluated in terms of AIC.
