Summary: | Diesel fuel plays an important role in a country's manufacturing economy and is used in heavy goods cars, urban transit buses, locomotives, producing electricity and farms. The key mode of transport in the world of today is diesel engines. Their key attraction is solid construction, simple servicing and easy operation. But battle the fossil fuel shortfall; we may not be able to take a long time to use its services. As a result, attempts are being made worldwide to develop unconventional alternates for use in diesel engines. Likewise, car industry has been underlined and lobbied for new engines to be produced. This has contributed to the development of new combustion technologies. A number of scientists have concluded that biodiesel is a promise for diesel fuel as an alternative. Contrary to standard oil, nontoxic, biodegradable and sustainable biodiesel is safer to transport. The key objective of this study is to enhance soybean biodiesel's fuel efficiency. Five biodiesel blends with increments of tens is tested in a four-stroke single-cylinder direct injection, unmodified diesel engine. The impact of soybean oil on engine's output and emissions was investigated. |
