Summary: | The modeling of wind energy conversion with variable load and variable sources is simulated using Matlab Simulink. The power distribution to the electrically isolated areas (hills station, villages, etc.) is still complicated even though using modern equipment; it is conceivable exclusively by sustainable power sources. Wind energy is used as a sustainable energy source to provide power to the isolated areas. The fluctuations in the head (wind velocity) and variations in the loads are controlled by the fuzzy logic controller, which is used to keep the voltage constant. The control action is given to the SEPIC to reduce the switching losses and improve efficiency. The microcontroller is used to implement the wind energy conversion system with a SEPIC converter to provide a constant voltage. The different operating conditions are applied to note the performance of the WECS in both simulation and experiment. The performance of the proposed FLC-based WECS with SEPIC converter is improved as compared with the conventional converter. |
