Summary: | Repeated welding on the Temporary Wellhead to conductor casing pipe is performed by onshore drilling Rigs in oil and gas Wells. It gives thermal heat influences repeatedly on Temporary Wellhead, which is interesting to study. The purpose of this research is to analyze the effect of repeated welding and provide recommendations about how many times repeated welding is performed to Temporary Wellheads based on a review of changes in microstructure, chemical composition, and mechanical properties. This research has two objects, an actual Temporary Wellhead in the field and AISI 4130 steel as some replicas with some testing. The results indicated that repeated welding could increase grain size G microstructure, carbon equivalent (Ceq), hardness, and emergence lath Martensite on fifth welding in the heat-affected zone (HAZ). It increases toughness in the fusion zone (FZ). It is good to apply repeated welding on the Temporary Wellhead till four-time. |
