Summary:The study here summarizes the work growth in “Particle Swarm Optimization (PSO)” since (1995 to 2021). Thirty-five papers have been analysed. Those research articles have been divided into various aspects in which PSO technique has been modified a lot during these years due to its simplicity. The hybridization of PSO with many evolutionary algorithms has been done during these years which helped us a lot to solve many optimizations and real-life problems. This paper discusses the progress, modification, improvement and application of PSO during these years.
