Description
Summary:This paper presents the results of the research on the possibility of providing requirements for the noise of civil supersonic aircraft using its propulsion system controlling. The methods are based on the use of an engine mathematical model embedded in digital automatic control system. The use of EMM provides real-time calculation of the engine operation parameters that are not available for the measurement, including those affecting the amount of noise. An important part of the engine mathematical model application is the model identification during the operation of the engine. Focusing on a turbofan engine it is shown that during takeoff and landing the use of such control can significantly reduce the jet velocity, which helps reduce the noise level. At the same time, the thrust is maintained at the required level.
