Summary: | Dementia is a chronic or progressive syndrome characterized by impaired cognitive capacity from Alzheimer’s disease in which the expression of the Caspase-9 and Calm1 genes is one of the genes that play a role in this disease. This study aims to see gene expression of Caspase-9 and Calm1 in rat models of Alzheimer’s disease after the addition of Mesenchymal Stem Cell Wharton Jelly (MSC-WJ). The treatment group consisted of a control, AlCl3, MSC-WJ, and a combination of AlCl3 and MSC-WJ. All treatment groups were tested using the Realtime PCR (RT-PCR) method.
