Summary: | The present investigation CeO2 contains zirconium sodium borate glasses that have been prepared by the conventional melt quench method utilising a high-temperature electrical furnace. The samples were characterized by X-ray diffraction, Uv-vis absorption spectra. X-ray diffraction patterns reveal the glassy nature of all prepared samples. The physical parameters like density, molar volume, polarizability, interionic distance, refractive index were calculated using appropriative formulae. The impact of cerium ion with zirconium ion on the combined physical properties and absorption studies has been discussed in detail for well understanding the behaviour of prepared glasses. |
