Summary: | The results of an experimental study of the flow around a shallow open-type cavity in the flow velocity range from M = 0.30 to M = 0.75 using oil-film visualization and liquid crystal panoramic methods developed at ITAM SB RAS are presented. Oil-film patterns of limiting streamlines on the surfaces of the cavity are obtained; temperature distributions on the bottom wall of the cavity are obtained using calibrated temperature-sensitive films based on LC; and the distribution of shear stresses of surface skin friction over the surface of the model is also considered. Changes in the flow structure during the flow around the cavity depending on the velocity of the free stream are shown. |
