Summary: | When verifying the properties of self-compacting concrete, it is advantageous to make at least a part of the formwork transparent. Plexiglass can be used for such purposes. However, it is necessary to verify that the change of materials does not affect the behavior of the concrete mix. In this study, five materials were compared - steel sheet, plexiglass, waterproof plywood, smooth concrete surface and rough concrete surface. The testing was performed by flowing the same amount of concrete mixture on different surfaces with different inclination and comparing the shapes of the flowing concrete. It has been proven that for vertical surfaces not only steel sheet with plexiglass can be interchanged, but also with plywood and with smooth surface treated concrete. For sloping surfaces, steel sheet with plexiglass or waterproof plywood can be interchanged. |
