description The article presents the results of ad hoc radiation contamination measurement around the Manivier Channel and the Dudvah River at the beginning of 2022. Prior to 1992, the Manivier Channel was used to discharge radioactive wastewater from nuclear facilities in Jaslovské Bohunice. The measurement results showed that the dose equivalent rate values did not exceed 70 nSv/hr and activity concentration of Cs-137 at the detected point of maximum dose rate was (87,8 ± 5,3) Bq/kg. From the point of view of radiation protection, the risk from such a level of radioactivity was assessed as negligible.
