Summary: | Aedes sp. is a vector that transmits the dengue virus that causes Dengue Hemorrhagic Fever (DHF). Dengue Hemorrhagic Fever is a disease caused by the dengue virus which is transmitted through the bite of the Aedes aegypti and Aedes albopictus mosquitoes. Red Citronella (Cymbopogon nardus) leaves contain many bioactive compounds such as sapponins, tannins, steroids, alkaloids, citronella, flavonoids, and essential oils which have active compounds that can kill mosquitoes. This research is experimental with Completely Randomized Design (CRD). The method in this study used the decoction method, in the test using three treatments with variations in concentration, namely 40%, 60% and 80%, negative control (aquadest) and X-Electric positive control (transflurin 12.38 g/l). The results showed that the effectiveness of the mortality of Aedes sp mosquitoes for each concentration was 40% by 28 birds (37%), 60% concentration by 52 birds (69%) and 80% concentration by 64 birds (85%). Based on the probit test, the LC50 and LC90 values respectively were 67.101% and the concentration was 88.561%. In the One Away ANOVA test, it shows that the value of sig = 0.000 |
