Description
Summary:Barium Strontium titanate belongs to the perovskite family and prepared by the sol-gel method. We use this method for the preparation of BST because it is a cheap, easy process and has accurate control of conformation. Most of the ferroelectric components attach to the perovskite family and the basic formula is ABO3, where A, B and O have 2+,4+ and 2-oxidation states. The structure of BST is examined by XRD pattern and possesses both ferroelectric and dielectric properties. The dielectric constant decreases above Curie temperature and increases below Curie temperature. The structural phase transitions from paraelectric to ferroelectric is observed at Curie temperature. BST films used in various sensors like gas sensor, humidity sensor and light sensor. We use a Static gas sensing system to measure the performance of sensors. Ferroelectric thin films are acceptable for a number of applications including their diverse and interesting properties. These thin films used for a variety of applications in memory storage devices, actuators, medical ultrasounds and electro-optic materials.
