Summary: | In this paper, a 2 DOF quarter vehicle with a semi-active suspension system is taken into account for various road irregularities in order to improve passenger ride comfort. In the present work, a 2 DOF quarter vehicle with skyhook damper suspension system is simulated using MATLAB/SIMULINK software and also analysed theoretically to study the dynamic performance for step input, bump and random road profiles. The displacements and accelerations obtained were compared with the analytical and MATLAB results. Simulated results are compared with passive suspension systems for three different road inputs which show better performance with sky hook damper. |
