Summary:The article offers an approach to improving the efficiency of engines during the operation of autonomous locomotives according to controlled values of the concentration of wear products in engine oil using the developed lubrication system. An apparatus for artificial neural networks has been developed to determine the pre-failure state of engine parts. In the course of training an artificial neural network, software was created that implements the developed algorithm for detecting intensive wear of engine parts.
