Summary: | In the industry, Induction Motors(IM) play vital roles in various applications. The optimal performance specification such as the speed and torque of the IM is needed, therefore its very importance to develop a technique to control the speed and torque of the AC motor sufficiently. In the literature of control systems, there are two types of controllers either the continuous or the digital controller. The conventional Proportional Integral Derivative (PID) and Fuzzy Logic Controller (FLC) are used in this paper combined with scalar control or the voltage to frequency (V/F). Modeling of the IM is carried out with Matlab/Simulink with all units of the proposed algorithm. Comparison between FLC and the classical PID controller in the sense of overshoot, rise time, steady-state error, and settling time ensures the power of intelligent technique and the performance specification of the IM. |
