Summary: | Cement concrete and cement mortar is the major focus of researchers in the construction industry for enhancement of mechanical and other Engineering properties as these materials are widely used in the construction industry which is the world’s largest industry. Mechanical strength is not the only property required in advanced construction materials; additional attributes such as durability, chemical resistance, weather resistance, and so on are also necessary. Nanotechnology is one of the most active research topics, with both original science and practical applications that has steadily emerged over the previous two decades. Nanoparticles are promising materials in the realm of civil engineering. Some researchers have included nanoparticles into concrete composites in order to change a few characteristics and mechanical qualities.
