Summary: | The question of the need to develop methodological approaches in assessing the state of the living environment and assessing the compliance of planning and design solutions of residential territorial entities with the standards of urban planning is considered. The assessment methodology is based on a modern model of human development in an urban en-vironment and a model of the functional planning organization of residential areas of cities, built on the principles of a biosphere-compatible city. One of the principles of a biosphere-compatible city is to meet the needs of the population liv-ing in it and create a favorable living environment. Application of the proposed approach will give the designer an algo-rithm and criteria for assessing social, economic, environmental efficiency planning and design solutions residential are-as, comparison of their options in the design. It will also improve the quality of the design and planning work by using scientifically based estimated characteristics of the living environment, particularly the availability of social amenities, commercial and cultural services to the population, every day, and periodic demand. This approach aims to make quali-fied managerial decisions in the field of the existing and project use of the territory of residential formations, comple-menting the provisions of the current regulatory documents urban planning design without violating their requirements. |
