Description
Summary:In growing cities, flooding of stormwater sewer systems is a serious challenge, and it is likely to be impacted by climate change. In this study IDF curve was used to find the probability of rainfall intensity for upcoming recurrence intervals (2,5,10 and 25 years). For the first time an IDF-curve was created in the Governorate of Al-Muthanna. The aim of this study is to spotlight on the problem of flooding in the region of Al-Soob Al-Kabeer and explanation of the influence of climate change over the stormwater sewer system's performance. As a response to rainfall of events, flooding volume and flooding manholes percentage in MS4 were increased with increasing in the recurrence interval from 2 to 25 years from 7096 m3 and 40% to 10687 m3 and 46%, respectively.
