Description
Summary:We present an interval transportation problem (ITP) in which the source and destination parameters are chosen as interval numbers in this paper. For the Interval version of VAM and MODI, an approach is provided to calculate initial allocation to the basic cells and the appropriate interval transportation cost. We suggest zero suffix method that finds the optimal solution for interval transportation problems without determining the initial basic feasible solution. The solution technique is demonstrated with a numerical example. A comparison analysis of the proposed method was also carried out. Furthermore, the proposed strategy is applied to issues involving interval transportation.
