Description
Summary:In the present scenario of thermal management system, the cooling efficiency is one of the crucial factors to enhance the performance and life of the heat generating devices. In single phase mode it is very difficult to achieve large heat recovery. So, two phase mode is best suitable method to recover large quantity of heat from the heat sources. Nuclear reactor, electronics cooling, air conditioning system etc., are employing two phase heat transfer for efficient heat recovery. To analyze the heat transfer, the passive technique is more suitable because of less energy consumption. Instead of using conventional fluids for heat transfer, employing nanofluid is an emerging technique in the current heat transfer technology. In the present investigation, a hybrid nanofluid is prepared for 0.6% volume concentration from Al2O3 and SiO2 at equal volume fraction. An experimental investigation was conducted in pool boiling with novel hybrid nanofluid, the safety and performance characteristic were analyzed.
