Description
Summary:This study’s main objective is to synthesize chitosan-coated silver nanoparticles from the plant Gossypiumhirsutum(G. hirsutum) utilizing a biosynthetic method for antibacterial activity against Staphylococcus aureus(S. aureus) in comparison to kanamycin, a commonly used antibiotic. Each group’s sample size is three, making a total sample size of six, with a 0.05 significance level (□), an 80% G power, and a 95% confidence level. The chitosan coated silver nanoparticles (CSN) were produced by coating chitosan with biosynthesized silver nanoparticles. They were then examined using SEM and UV-Vis spectroscopy. S. aureus was used as a test subject for the antibacterial activity. Finding the antibacterial activity has been done using the zone of inhibition (ZOI) testing. The antibacterial test reveals that, when compared to the antibiotic kanamycin, the concentration of chitosan-coated silver nanoparticles (19.3ng/100 µL) has a statistically significant value of 0.003 (p
