Summary:For a social community it is important for proper distribution of water among the domestic neighborhood. The municipal overhead tanks play a major role in acting as a water reservoir. It is important to monitor the flow of water distribution to various zones from the water tank, thereby introducing the need for flow measurement. Additionally level measurement plays an important role in measuring the water quantity present in the tank. This project aims in installing an flow sensor for measuring the liquid flow. It also installs the ultrasonic level sensor to measure the level of the overhead tank using a microcontroller. The data is collected, stored and synced with cloud with the help of microcontroller to achieve real time updates on the various key metrics. If there is any abnormalities in the flow of the water in the pipe a message will be sent through GSM to the authorized person.
