Description
Summary:The Internet of Things (IoT) has infiltrated nearly every aspect of life. The healthcare industry has become one of the most popular applications for IoT and related technologies like Artificial Intelligence, etc. IoT infrastructures and solutions are used in smart healthcare. By making use of wearable and mobile devices, IoT-based smart healthcare systems have added great value to the healthcare domain. This leads to a significant increase in the use of health data sharing for a more accurateand timely diagnosis. Its mainstream adoption, however, remains a elusive dream. The major drive behind this is ensuring the data and participating entities’ security and privacy at all costs. Smart healthcare systemsare at risk to a variety of security flaws and malicious attacks, including data leakage, tampering, forgery, and so on. To address this, green blockchain technology has come to light as a practical way of enhancing data security and privacy for both users as well as data. Through the avalancheof medical information created by e-medical records and other mechanisms based on Information Communication Technology (ICT), a plethora of applications has been discovered usinggreen blockchain in the medicare industry. Conventional healthcare procedures are swiftly adopting present-day technologies in order to make the transition to smart healthcare ecosystems. The main factors driving this transition are theend-user’s convenience and user-friendliness. Even with the use of Smart Healthcare Systems (SHS), there are several obstacles in the transparency, security, and safety of data and its consumers. This paper providesa comprehensive overviewof green blockchain’s use in the healthcare industry. It also puts forth a green blockchain-based SmartHealthcare Securitystructure to ensure the system’s inherent security and integrity.
