Description
Summary:The BaFe12-xCoxO19 (x = 0, 0.2, 0.4, and 0.6) is synthesized through sol-gel auto-combustion method. The Rietveld refinement of the X-ray diffraction data confirms the phase purity of the compounds and the monotonic decrease of lattice parameters from x = 0 to x = 0.6. The Raman study indicates towards the disorderness created at different sites. The saturation magnetization enhances for x = 0.2 and 0.4 as compared with the parent compound, followed by a drop for x = 0.6. The enhancement in magnetization is around 10% for x = 0.4, whereas the coercivity value drops by ~ 53% for x = 0.6 compared to the parent.
