Summary: | Ammonium dihydrogen phosphate(ADP) is good Second Harmonic Generators(SHG) having versatile NLO properties, cultivated using the low-temperature solution growth method. Single crystals of pure and bimetal (Co+2-Ni+2) At room temperature, doped Ammonium dihydrogen phosphate (ADP) was developed utilising the slow evaporation solution growth approach. Solubility curves shows visible change when metallic impurities added in ADP. The powder XRD,EDAX and FTIR spectroscopic studies confirms the single phase nature, presence of dopant and all constitute functional groups of ADP in grown crystals. The second harmonic generation (SHG) efficiency was carryout using the Kurtz and Parry method which results in small decrement in the SHG efficiency due to bimetal dopant compare to pure ADP. Vickers micro hardness result indicates doping make the ADP crystal harder and mechanically stable in the applied load region. Variation in dielectric parameters due to dopant was carried out using Agilent Precision LCR meter [E4980A], 100Hz to 2MHz frequency range at ambient temperature. |
