Summary:The study was conducted to evaluate the effectiveness of the nano preparation of alcoholic extract of Dodonia leaves in affecting the egg hatching rate of the large wax worm Galleria mellonella (L.), as well as studying the lethal effect of the preparation on insect pupae The preparation had a significant effect on the percentage of hatching of superficially treated insect eggs at the age of 24 hours. The results of treatment with the three concentrations (2, 5 and 10%) showed that the hatching rate was (11.68, 8.54 and 6.43%) for the three concentrations, respectively. It can be concluded from the above that the nano preparation of alcoholic extract of Dodonia leaves has an effect on the rate of egg hatching and the number of eggs laid by the adults of the insect and in killing the pupae and reducing the life of the adult Therefore, we recommend the use of the nano preparation of the extract of the Dodonia plant to controlthe large wax worm, in addition to its ease of preparation and being safe on the environment and does not cause toxicity to humans
