Summary:The article presents the classification of the installation for the transportation and partial cleaning of cotton, which allows transporting cotton from cleaning facilities located on the territory of ginneries, using suction and blowing air flows for transportation over long distances. In addition, the principle of operation of this new machine, the speed of rotation of the gears that drive it and their influence on the quality of cotton are analyzed. The proposed device consists of a trapezoidal pipe of the separation zone, which reduces the amount of cotton passing through the separator without falling into the inlet pipe, and its guide part is located at an angle α=300 to the horizontal axis. This reduces the amount of cotton passing through the separator. In addition, the purge air tube, parallel to the inlet tube, allows the cotton separated by it to be transported to its lower part.
