Summary: | Ti6Al4V/ZrO2 joints prepared by brazing process with two types Ag-Cu- Ti alloy as a metal filler. The joining process done under inert atmosphere (argon) in different temperature’s (850,875, 900 and 925 ℃) for 20 minutes. The mechanical properties tested by singe shear test and microhardness test with using SEM, EDS and XRD to investigate the fractured surfaces after shear test. The results show, raising temperature increasing the shear strength until 875℃ then gradually decrease for both filler types. The maximum shear strengths for prepared joints with filler 2 are slightly higher than that for joints with filler 1. The micro hardness of both types of joints increased as temperature increased. |
