Summary: | Motorized vehicles are one means of transportation that are in demand by many people, and even almost some people own a motorized vehicle. I want to examine fuel’s effect on motorized vehicles’ performance. From the analysis I did in the field, there are some comparison results between the fuel consumption of Pertalite 90 and Pertamax 98. Although the results are not very significant, the motor I tested was a 196cc motor. The results showed the effect of Power, Torque, and Fuel Consumption, although not substantial. In the variation of Pertalite, standard carburetor, standard exhaust and 10W-40 oil, we get the most significant speed of 102 KPH, the most considerable torque of 12.3 NM, the most potent power of 10.28 HP, the largest engine speed of 10515, the most significant AFR 19.71, then on the variation Pertamax 98, standard carburetor, standard exhaust, 10W-40 oil get the most incredible speed 102 KPH, biggest torque 12.3 NM, most considerable power 10.98 HP, most incredible engine speed 10515, biggest AFR 20.23. While the Pertalite variation, standard carburetor, racing exhaust, 15W-50 oil get the most significant speed of 102 KPH, the most considerable torque of 12.3 NM, the essential power of 10.88 HP, the largest engine speed of 10515, AFR 13.5. When testing fuel consumption using the idle method, we can also see that there are slight changes, where Pertamax 98 is slightly more efficient than Pertalite when used on a 196cc motorcycle. |
