Summary: | Free space optical (FSO) communication has aroused the interest of a large number of academics in recent years due to its wide bandwidth, ease of deployment, and immunogenicity, making it ideal for communication. For efficient transmission, this wireless photonic technology requires clean, non-turbulent weather conditions. The objectives of this study are to reduce the effect of turbulent air conditions on FSO, such as luminescence, and to increase the scalability of the FSO network using a multi-beam FSO system with wavelength division multiplexing (WDM) technology. Also, an Opti system (version 7.0) design was simulated to evaluate the FSO link environment under attenuation effect and the quality of the received signal was evaluated using parameters such as the quality factor (QF), the bit error rate (BER) and eye diagram. |
