A homogeneous equilibrium model for the simulation of two-dimensional two-phase flow Riemann problem

Summary: | In this paper, a two-dimensional Godunov scheme is proposed for gas-Liquid two-phase flow. The numerical flux of the proposed Godunov scheme is an extension of an exact Riemann solver previously established for a Homogeneous Equilibrium model describing one-dimensional two-phase flow. To analyze the performance of the two-dimensional Godunov method, a comparative study is performed using MacCormack scheme and initial data including the rarefaction and shock waves. |
