Summary: | The purpose of this study is to validate the PLC ladder program using a virtual workpiece transfer station. There are three programs used, namely simatic manager for PLC ladder programming, PLCSim as a PLC simulator, and virtual workpiece transfer station as a virtual process model to display work processes based on the ladder program that has been created. Students can perform a series of ladder programming procedures, including identifying input and output addresses, making program flow diagrams, creating ladder programs, transferring ladder programs to virtual PLCs, testing programs through virtual commissioning, monitoring and tracking errors, and final ladder program documentation. The results showed that the validation of the PLC ladder program can be carried out based on a virtual environment using a virtual workpiece transfer station without using PLC hardware. |
