Summary: | The primary goal of the proposed article is the numerical analysis of the Wing model with and without raked winglets. In order to highlight the significant performance and parameter variations between the designs, the investigation here analyses the parameters of wings made with and without serrated raked winglets. Here, the lift-to-drag ratio, lift coefficient, and drag coefficient were the main topics of conversation. This study’s tapered wing design was based on the NACA 653-218 air foil. The geometry of the models is implemented and developed using the Solid Works programme. The main objectives of this work are to enhance flight performance by reducing the induced drag that is produced on the wings during action using ANSYS Fluent. It is found that the Serrated Raked Winglet (SRW) gives better reduction in drag and turbulence than the existing normal raked winglet without affecting its lift more at higher angle of attack. |
