Summary: | Repong Damar Krui is land that is managed by the people of Pesisir Barat Regency, using a combination cropping pattern of forestry, agriculture and animal husbandry plants or commonly called agroforestry with the main plant being the Damar Mata Kucing (Shorea javanica) tree. The research was conducted in Gunung Kemala Village and Pahmungan Village, Krui Sub District, Pesisir Barat District, Lampung Province, Indonesia, during April to August 2022. The method used in this study is a plot of 25 PU in Pahmungan Village and 25 PU in Gunung Kemala Village. The purpose of the study was to determine the conservation of dynamics vegetation of Repong Damar in Pahmungan Village and Gunung Kemala Village. Based on the results of research in Pahmungan Village, there were 13 types of tree species with a total of 218 trees, 13 types of pole-phase plants with a total of 175 plants, 11 types of sapling-phase plants with a total of 156 plants, and 11 types of understorey plants with a total of 149 plants. Important values that dominate the tree, pole, sapling, and understorey phases in Pahmungan Village are owned by damar plant species (Shorea javanica) with sequential INP values of 140.61; 117.69; 149.79; 86.20. Gunung Kemala village has 21 types of plants in the tree phase with a total of 213, 21 types of plants in the pole phase with a total of 149 plants, 25 types of plants in the sapling phase with a total of 170, and 17 types of plants in the understorey phase with a total of 176 plants. The Important Value Index that dominates the tree, pole, and sapling phases in Gunung Kemala Village, respectively, is 160.47; 96.22; and 116.24 which are owned by the resin plant species (Shorea javanica), while the undergrowth phase is dominated by the durian species (Durio zibethinus) with an INP of 69.66. Communities in Pahmungan Village and Gunung Kemala Village still depend on the community’s economy by looking for Damar Mata Kucing’s resin (Shorea javanica) sap. It is proven that at both observation locations, Damar tree species are very dominant in Pahmungan Village and Gunung Kemala Village. The need for government counseling in maintaining the ecosystem of Damar Mata Kucing in Krui Pesisir Barat so that it can continue to produce resin continues and there for the economics of the surrounding community can be better. |
