Summary:In this paper Weeding Robot is considered for study in agriculture area. The literature review is made to focus on the latest development in the field of weeding problems. Removal of Weed is one of the major problems in cotton cultivation. Manual weeding is not sustainable because of high labor cost, heavy in nature, and lot of time consuming. To overcome this problem, we have design and fabricate the weeding robot for farming. This paper aims to find effective, cheap and the automated way to solve the weeding problem. The autonomous portable weed cutter is battery operated with ultrasonic sensors, cutters, rechargeable battery, D.C. motor etc. The Ultrasonic sensors are used for sensing the obstacle and move the robot accordingly. The body is designed so as to move on uneven surface without any problem. By using this robot, time required for weeding process can be saved and labor cost can be minimized.
