To overcome this problem, we have design and fabricate the weeding robot for farming. This paper aims to find effective, cheap and the automated way to solve the weeding problem. The autonomous portable weed cutter is battery operated with ultrasonic sensors, cutters, rechargeable battery, D.C. motor etc. The Ultrasonic sensors are used for sensing the obstacle and move the robot accordingly. The body is designed so as to move on uneven surface without any problem. By using this robot, time required for weeding process can be saved and labor cost can be minimized.
