Description
Summary:The present study focuses on the reinforcement polyaniline (PANI) nanocomposites with diazonium modified Maghnite (Algerian Montmorillonite) nanofillers. The aim is to study/examine whether the presence of functional groups in the chemical structure of the diazonium modified nanoclay may virtually influence the physiochemical properties of the polyaniline/clay-DMA nanocomposites. Prepared Diazonium-Clay/PANI nanocomposites were characterized for morphological structural and composition owing to wide angle X-ray diffraction (XRD) and scanning electron microscopy analyses (SEM) and Fourier-transform infrared (FT-IR). The impact of Diazonium modified clay on the properties of PANI/DMA-Mag composites was determined using several different characterization measurements. Thermal stability was determined by thermogravimetric analysis (TGA) and differential scanning calorimetry (DSC) and significant differences in composite properties were observed by UV-Vis and cyclic voltammetry (CV).
