Description
Summary:Interaction of radiators in the array results in the energetic efficiency decrease of a multielement antenna system due to the increase of the energy reflected from the array, widening of the pattern main lobe, and smearing of the side-lobes. Electromagnetic field strength in the main lobe increases proportionally to the number of radiators in spite of the reflected energy increase. The greater value of the reflected energy for the array of combined radiators in comparison with the array of electrical monopoles is related to the difference in a cross-polarized radiation of these antennas. Special investigations with combined antennas confirmed this assumption.Application of the screensbetween the radiators will allow to decrease the interaction of the radiators and, respectively, the reflected energy. However, we associate the essential increase of energetic efficiency of antenna arrays with the development of a new variant of ultrawideband antenna which has no cross-polarized radiation. For expansion of possibilities to control the ultrawideband radiation parameters, multichannel antenna systems with different radiators are promising. Possibility to expand essentially radiated pulse spectrum for a concrete variant of linear array is shown.
