Summary:Low-temperature transport and magneto-resistance properties were systemically studied for the bilayered polycrystalline LaSr 2 Mn 2 O 7 manganite under an applied magnetic field from 0 to 9 T. The results obtained from the resistivity measurements between 70 and 130 K were fitted using the electron–electron (e–e) and electron–magnon (e–m) scattering models. The temperature dependence of resistivity showed an upturn behavior at low temperatures ( ∼ T < 45 K) under various applied magnetic fields. Best fits were obtained by using a variable-range hopping model. The magneto-resistance behavior observed at low temperatures supports the magnetic properties of the sample.
