Summary:In this paper, we introduce a new generalized distance, namely the w 0 -distance, which is a special type of w -distance. By using the concept of w 0 -distance, we generalize some recent best proximity point results involving simulation functions. As a consequence, several best proximity point theorems are obtained. We support our results with examples.
