Summary: | As a continuation of an earlier enzymatic study on a dissolving pulp before viscose manufacturing, a new set of experiments were carried out with the best-performing enzyme from that study, Carezyme(R). The intention was to optimize the enzyme treatment so that the subsequent viscose process could be carried out with the lowest possible demand for chemicals in the etherification stage. The study focuses on pulp yield, reactivity, viscose viscosity (measured as ball-fall time), and the filter clogging value of the viscose. |
