Summary: | In this Letter, we demonstrate the use of separated local-field NMR spectroscopy under magic-angle spinning conditions as a means of studying molecular reorientation in solid inclusion compounds. Site-resolved H-1-C-13 dipolar couplings were estimated in complexes between cryptophane-E and chloromethanes. We show that the mobilities of encaged guests in the solid state and of guests inside the host cavity in the isotropic liquid solution are very similar. |
