Description
Summary:We report a fiber-Bragg-grating-based device for an efficient separation of the payload and label in highly packed subcarrier-multiplexed optical label swapping networks. The separation is performed in the optical domain by a tandem fiber Bragg grating device consisting of two specially designed fiber Bragg gratings separated by an isolator. We experimentally demonstrate that the proposed configuration provides an excellent separation of the payload and label in the optical domain.
