Summary: | “Nobody likes a whiner” could be added as a title to these lamentations, but after almost 40 years in the field, there is little to be optimistic about from my perspective. Awareness has undoubtedly increased, and there is no need any longer to explain what BMI means—even to a lay audience. But from there to a coherent strategy to identify the problem, initiate whatever is feasible of preventive action, and develop treatment strategies, we still have a very long way to go. |
