Description
Summary:Abstract In one of his main works (Les Mots et les Choses) Michel Foucault prognosticates the end of human being, understood as a discursive event within the human sciences. The following article tries to show that the current debates about diversity could be a sign that this transformation has already started. A central impetus for this reorganization comes from a historical continuity that connects the discursive upheaval of the Western history of knowledge around 1900 to current debates. The upheaval is linked to the appearance of a figure of thought that also proves to be central to the current organization and legitimacy of knowledge.
