Summary: | Geochemical and mineralogical analyses of four soil profiles on different parent materials and landform units show a statistically significant correlation between soil texture, soil mineralogy, parent material, and geochemical characteristics. Changes within individual soil profiles are generally related to increase of clay and iron content with depth, due to illuviation. Differences between profiles reflect differing parent materials. Anomalies in these patterns are mainly related to mineralogical changes in the parent material. |
