Synthesis and characterization of a novel high thermally stable energy compound: 1-(1-Adamantylamino)-2,4,6-trinitrobenzene

1-(1-Adamantylamino)-2,4,6-trinitrobenzene ( 1) as a potential energy material has been synthesized in excellent yield and characterized by FT-IR, 1H NMR and single crystallographic methods, and is thermally stable, decomposed in the range of 215–72 °C.
