Description
Summary:In article number 2001767, Dong‐Hwa Seo and co‐workers develop a new class of mixed ionic–electronic conductors (MIECs) for a carbon‐free cathode (no liquid electrolyte) of a Li‐air cell by combining first‐principles calculations and experiments. The synthesized perovskite MIECs have both high electronic and lithium‐ionic conductivities. The Li‐air cell with an MIEC cathode delivers superior reversibility while avoiding the degradation associated with carbonaceous materials.
